Press Release: The filming of FURIOUS has finished!

The film company “Central Partnership” and producing centre “Ivan” have finished filming in Moscow of the large-scale action movie "Furious", that tells the story of a legendary feat of a Ryazan voivode Evpatii Kolovrat. The work on the first movie about the Russian warrior, who took it upon himself to avenge his homeland and with a handful of brave men challenged the hordes of Batu Khan, began in January and took 68 days of shooting.

Much of the movie was filmed in pavilions in chromakey, the volume and level of computer generated graphics on the project promises to be unprecedented. The creators declined the style of historical realism and preferred to create an original fantasy-fairy world. The shooting crew “settled” in one of the buildings on the territory of Moscow’s ZIL factory for a few months. Here, in custom equipped halls with green chromakey walls, were lined with decorations in a princely choir manner, such as city walls, town gates and ramparts, and camps of nomads. It was here, that the winter forest or the scattered steppe was painted by the set artists… In post-production, all the interiors, views and crowd scenes (in certain days reaching a hundred people) will be added using a computer.

The campus had been equipped with personal dressing-rooms, costume wardrobes, weaponries, stores, training gym for stuntmen and even stables and an arena for the horses. It was both mobile and compact which allowed even the most complex artistic and technological barriers to be overcome quickly.

The directors are Djanik Faizev (“August. Eighth”, “Admiral’”, “High Security Vacation”), general director of Central Partnership Pavel Stepanov and head of “GPM KIT” Rafael Minasbekyan. The producer of the project is a debutant of full feature film Ivan Shurhoveckii, operator – Maxim Osadchii (“Stalingrad”, “Zhara”, “9th Company”). In charge of stunts is Alexander Samohvalov from “Action Unit” company (“The Crew”, “Stalingrad”, “Legend No 17”), and responsible for digital special effects is the studio of visual effects Main Road Post (“Metro”, “Stalingrad”, “Wanted”). In the main roles are young actors Ilya Malakov and Polina Chernyshova (“Quiet Flows the Don”). Batu Khan's role plays Alexander Tsoy, and starring – Alexei Serebryakov, Andrei Burkovskii, Igor Savochkin, Yulia Hlynina, Alexander Iliin Jr., Timofey Tribuncev, Viktor Proskurin and others.

Central Partnership plans for the fantasy action movie "Furious" to hit the screen by April 2017.
