Central Partnership has announced start of work on a new a 4 episodes miniseries dedicated to ballet dancer Alexander Godunov. Godunov was a member of the Bolshoi Theatre in 1971. He was engaged in such theatrical productions as "Swan Lake," "Anna Karenina," "Don Quixote," "Carmen Suite" and "La Bayadere." In 1976 Godunov was awarded with the title of Honored Artist of the RSFSR.
In August 1979 during his tour with Bolshoi Theater to New York Godunov asked for political asylum in United States. However his wife, ballerina Ludmila Vlasova, decided to return to USSR. The aircraft, which had intended to fly Ludmila back home, was detained by U.S. authorities in the airport for several days: many people were convinced Vlasova returned not by her own choice. The divorce between Godunov and Vlasova followed in 1982.
Shooting of new miniseries under working title "Alexander Godunov" will begin in April 2013. Work on the project will be completed by next fall 2013. At the moment Central partnership is negotiating with potential film director to head shooting process. Ludmila Vlasova, ex-wife of famous ballet dancer, will take part in creative process as a biography consultant.
